Nope. Still the same. Another dozen or so times, and I might believe it.
(This means that I could possibly get into a college that people have heard of. That isn't in Pittsburgh. And not have to pay full tuition.

Date: 2008-03-21 02:38 am (UTC)2310?! Out of 2400? WOW. I only got a 2170 (lost 150 on the math. I'm a slow solver of math problems. Also got an 800 on Verbal, and 720 on writing), and I thought THAT was good. You beat me by 140! Congratulations, that's absolutely fantastic.
Colleges say that SAT scores are only one factor of many in admissions, but I know from experience that it's a bigger deal than they make it out to be. My roommate freshman year was Valedictorian of her school and had a ton of extracurriculars and volunteer work, and I had a far less stellar record but a much higher SAT. I got into the Honors program, and she didn't even make it into scholars, which is a level under. So basically, good SAT scores really help, and yours are way better than just "good." Way to go! I hope you make it into whatever school you want.

You could get National Merit. And get LOADS of money.
UE scholarships...well, if you are first in your class you can get half or full tuition paid. Based on lots of stuff including SAT, you could get up to $13,500 for academic scholarship...And if you are a national merit finalist you get full tuition. Semi-finalists get 3/4 tuition.

(I'm eighteen now, but I still remember that as one of the greatest what-the-hell moments of my life so far.)
