Usually, I love night, because usually, being alone is kind of comforting. I'm probably a ridiculously strange person for that, but whatever. That's me.

But tonight (almost 3 am, so it's not really night) is one of those times when I hate night, because everyone's asleep when I want to talk and being alone sucks instead of being comforting.

So I'm posting on LJ.

Actually, I considered sneaking into my sister's room and sleeping on her trundle bed (yes, she has a trundle bed, and I, Laura Ingalls Wilder freak that I am, am insanely jealous), but it was too dark to read and I can't sleep without reading. I spent a couple of minutes in there anyway, just because I really did want to talk and that was about as close as I was going to get. I stopped short of waking her up. Maybe I'll talk to her tomorrow.

Anyway, with this pointless post out of the way, I think I'll go read. With luck, I can finish this book and start on The Scarlet Letter (for summer reading) tomorrow.

Actually, I probably would have called you except your cell phone is broken. (And I don't even have the number anyway. Oh well.) I should have called Kirsten, but my phone was in Holly's room, which was dark, which is not exactly helpful when one is looking for small black objects.

Come home soon. Seriously. I need someone to squee with over all the developments on House.
