Once upon a time, back in the dark ages of my own high school experience, I was given an assignment by my Advanced Ceramics instructor to create some sort of sculpture within the narrow frame of self-portraiture.

I made a near-life-sized death's head political statement--its stuffy collar was too tight. And I got away with it!
